Created in 1987, the Union Nationale des Entreprises Adaptées (UNEA) is a professional association that federates more than 600 social enterprises and their 30,000 employees. UNEA represents, defends and promotes social enterprises by communicating the model’s inclusive know-how, favouring the conditions of its economic development for a sustainable growth in the employment of people with disabilities. Its Academy supports and strengthens the skills of participants in the social enterprise sector. In order to promote the model’s economic and societal performance to its stakeholders, UNEA supports social enterprises in the implementation of their CSR policy. Active throughout France, UNEA is also a regional network led by regional delegates, volunteer entrepreneurs and salaried project managers working with the head office team. France Active, a partner of UNEA for many years, supports social enterprises projects through funding and expertise during the creation or development of new markets.
